- The maximum age at entry for the Main Member under the family plan is up to and including 65 years.
- Unmarried and dependant children aged 22 to 25 years enjoy cover, provided that they are registered as full-time students at an approved educational institution.
- Maximum 6 children under the age of 22 years are allowed on this scheme.

X-Tended family funeral plans
- X-Tended – cover on extended family members only.
- The maximum age at entry for the Premium Payer is up to and including 65 years. The Premium Payer has to be a PSA Member. There are no restrictions on the maximum number of extended members, minimum number of extended members that have to be insured is 2.
- Extended members on existing Dignity family schemes: No additional X-Tended family plans can be taken out on the lives of any extended members that are currently insured, the extended cover on the existing family plans can however be upgraded to X-Tended family plans.
- When upgrading, the increased cover amount will be subject to an additional 6 months waiting period.
- Where a Main Member of an existing family plan cancels an existing family or single plan, with extended family members insured, with the intention to only insure that extended family members under a new X-Tended family plan, a waiting period of 6 months will be imposed on the full cover amount as it is a new policy.
- An Insured is allowed to have, under the Dignity PSA funeral scheme and in any product combination, cover on its own life to a total amount of R50 000.00
